Pine Falls School Sends Cadets to Camp and Birthday Celebrations

Grace Spence travels east on holiday with her parents. Cadets Bobby Seguin Frank Thibodeau George Sokoloski Allan Gret singer and Sidney Brewster depart Pine Falls for a ten day Army Cadet Camp on Saturday June 29. Ken Randal’s sixteenth birthday is celebrated with a surprise party at his home and a gold signet ring. A planned weiner roast is postponed due to rain and replaced by dancing. Grade three and four pupils cancel end of year sports due to weather. A farewell party for Gerry Gretsinger is held at United Church Clubroom with May Miler and Audrey Perry hosting.

Senior Girls Gift Gerry Gretsinger Before Alberta Move

Mre Lalor played piano for dancing and Alice Brutfer presented Gerry Gretsinger with a photo album of friends. A few spent July 1 at Lac du Bonnet Beausejour Silver Falls or Winnipeg. The Senior Girls class gave a remembrance picture at Gerry’s home. Lieut Col and Mrs George Trist visited Pine Falls with Mr and Mrs Ross Robertson.
