Milk wagon horse proves smarter than many people

Prairie farmers form cooperative to buy farm machinery at cost

Fifty thousand farmer members of a prairie cooperative implement association gain access to tractors harvesters combines swathers and tiller combines at cost. The co op will advance 50 percent of the price with orders and receive interest while the balance is paid on delivery. Repair parts will be sold at regular retail prices less discounts.

Button covering and party gifts at Colorado farmers wedding

A guide on covering buttons with fabric and a description of a house party where thirty married men gave the bridegroom a laying hen as a novelty gift to a newly married couple on a Colorado farm. Each wife also gave a dime for a kitchen gadget, and the couple enjoyed gathering fresh eggs.

Pine Falls hockey game for Saturday January 19 was cancelled due to impassable roads from heavy snow and wind. The Merrimaker Club held its first dance with 150 members, while Pte Fred Dupont returned from England with family hosting. Curling events, town visits, and a welcome home for veterans filled the week with social and community notes.

Cadet Night Promotes and Film Show at Pine Falls Cadets

Cadets promote six members at Friday Corps meeting including Holick to Lieutenant and Ran dall to Company Sergeant major. Johnny Campbell showcased technicolor films from Lac du Bonnet Painte Du Bois and Pine Falls visit. Verna Perry hosted a Grade 8 party with a lunch after. Charlie Cheverfils staged a Grade 9 sleigh ride.
