Tyndall School Waterworks Referendum Approved
Ratepayers in the Tyndall school district approved a resolution at the annual meeting on January 19 to pursue a referendum on a water sewage disposal system. S. Pearson and L. A. Wawryshyn were elected to two year terms on the board. Herman Nelson retired as secretary-treasurer after 22 years of service.

Pine Falls Ladies Visit Bissett Curling Club Trip
A dozen Pine Falls women travelled by bomber piloted by Fred Randall to Bissett on Saturday January 17 to spend a curling weekend. Bissett curlers hosted with coffee, underground mine tour, turkey dinner, and two draws which ended 2 1. Pine Falls won the second game while Bissett took the first. Mrs Robinson welcomed guests, then hosts hosted visits at Hygler and Dack homes.

The Dupont school district electors held their annual meeting on Monday January 21 with retiring trustee George Dupont re-elected by acclamation. Math Dupont presided E J Bouvier acted as secretary Rene Vincent named chairman and E J Bouvier secretary treasurer Isidore Dupont the other trustee. The levy shows a further tax reduction. George Dupont represented the district at a Winnipeg convention.

Farewell for Rev Prokop at Garson parish
About 200 parishioners from Tyndall Garson and Walkleyburg attended a farewell party at the Polish rectory in Garson on Sunday January 10 for Father Stan Prokop. Speakers M Swirski T Dudek and F Wilchinski praised his work and wished him success in his new appointment. Gifts of a wrist watch a Ronson lighter and a purse of money were given. Father Wecki new pastor of the Roman Catholic churches at Tyndall Garson and Walkleyburg was introduced.

Beausejour Tyndall Teachers Society Elects Officers
Fred Klym of Beausejour was chosen president of the Beausejour and Tyndall local of the Manitoba Teachers Society. Miss A Fraser of Tyndall was elected vice-president with J Smollock as secretary and J Beckstead of Kyndall as local councillor. The group planned resolutions for the provincial convention in Winnipeg at Easter. The next meeting set for February 18 at 8 p.m. in the Beausejour Collegiate auditorium.

The sixth annual Lac du Bonnet ice carnival will be held on March 7 to allow Winnipeg Skating Club displays. Skaters compete in the Dominion finals the weekend of February 28. MPC Completes 1952 Schedules
The Manitoba Power Commission announced the completion of all farm area work on the 1952 rural electrification program. Energy reached all planned areas before Christmas marking the earliest a year’s schedule has ever been finished. Municipalities such as Brokenhead and Victoria received service in December, and all miscellaneous farm extensions for 1952 were completed.
