Local clubs publish a series of events from bingo nights at Memorial Centre and Notre Dame Parish Hall to a March 20 Legion Amateur Contest at Memorial Hall in aid of the skating rink. Prizes are 15, 10 and 5 dollars. entries due by March 25.

The Rev and Mrs W O Straw arrived to visit Cst and Mrs Lyall Marshall and family while en route from Hamilton to Norway House. Joe Frances and Vera Augustine returned home from Toronto after several weeks away. Our condolences to Mr Bill Sherk Winnipeg and Mr and Mrs Bob Nicoll Dauphin on Mrs Sherk death in a Winnipeg car crash. Bud Bjornson visited the Bjornson home for a couple days last week. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Bobo Brown Winnipeg on the birth of a daughter January 27 at the Winnipeg Women’s Pavilion. Grandmother Mrs Guy Brown returned here Saturday after two months in Winnipeg. Mesdames Elsie Chapman Dorothy Waters Josephine Fournier and Doreen Dancut attended the Pine Falls ladies bonspiel but did not prize. Leo Fournier flew to Norway House on Monday by his own plane for ten days duty with Trans Air. Eva Duffly and Roy Kaiser accompanied by Mrs Roy Kaiser visited Saskatoon to see Jim Van Der Hagen and family. Inga Zikman returned home after visiting The Pas and attending the Trappers Festival. Bill Smith and Linda Winnipeg were Sunday visitors at Dennis Crook’s home. Mrs M Crook returned to the city with them after a week here. Barbara Halliday leaves Friday for Kansas City to train as an airline hostess. Congratulations to Hazel Hirst and Robert Pohl Pointe du Bois on their marriage at Lutheran Church of the Cross.

Seven Sisters Pee Wee defeated Whitemouth 3-1 with Grant Berntt Dave Primett and Doug Reid scoring. Senior squad beat Great Falls 11-3. Gordon Klapprat rink captured the community club curling trophy defeating K King rink. Whitemouth High and Ladies Bonspiels produced multiple prize winners and upcoming hospital guild meeting announced.
