Ohio news in 1840s report on law and local events
The dispatch compiles a broad mix of items from a Washington correspondent including a bill advancing to law for a Springfield public building costing 100000 dollars, theater notes, marriage licenses, divorces, deaths, church notices, property transfers, and a Supreme Court ruling affecting McArthur family land titles in several Ohio counties. It also covers local crime, social events, and a long digressive column on fashion and culture.
