Opening Lyceum Series At Hall Township High School
The Senior Class offers a four program Lyceum course at the Auditorium for the coming school year. The Gypsy Serenaders open next Tuesday October 2 with season tickets at 1.25 and single admissions at 35 and 50 cents. The act features piano solos duets and gypsy sketches with costuming and wholesome performances. Hall's Orchestra will provide music for each show. Sheriff intercepts Rockford booze runners in Princeton
Last Saturday evening two Rockford men in a Chevrolet sedan parked near Princeton court house were arrested by Sheriff Mills and Deputy Applen after a tip about a liquor run. The men named White and Ward faced charges, with five gallons of alcohol seized from the car. White, also known as Orville Van Bleke, worked at a Rockford restaurant and Ward had ties to the Rockford street car company. They claimed to have bought the liquor for 20 dollars a gallon and planned to sell at 25.

Annie Curran Dies After Brief Illness in Marseilles
Mrs. Annie Curran, born Annie Lynch in Hazelton Pa in 1840, died after a two week illness at her daughter Mrs Charles Hanlon's home in Marseilles. She was widowed when James Curran died in 1883 and leaves six children, 25 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral was held at St Josephs Catholic church with burial in Seneca cemetery.
