Charles Averill twenty eight son of Mr and Mrs Henry Averill of Princeton is dead Ivard Pierson another Princeton boy is hospitalized with a skull fracture and serious injuries and Howard Conkling of Princeton was unconscious for hours after an auto crash about 130 am Sunday June 17 on the Spring Valley Marquette road near Hicks Park The car owned and driven by Averill left the road struck a culvert and fell into an eight foot washout The party had been traveling to Spring Valley for the carnival with barber Henry Casey riding in back Conkling reported speeds around 25 miles an hour and the three injured were taken to Spring Valley hospital where Averill died at 3 pm Sunday

A 95 year old Chicago man Henry Frawley, a former railroad laborer, was found dead along the Burlington railroad right of way west of Buda. A large crowd gathered at the Mine Rescue Station in La Salle for the first aid contest.
