The new Valley theatre opened last Sunday to 3000 attendees across four shows. The program featured Common Law, a Ben Turpin comedy, and performances by the De Filippi sisters and Celia De Filippi with Franckey's Jazz orchestra. Manager J A Scott announced new pictures and upcoming acts through New Year’s Day.

Mark Boy Killed at Kincaid Mine in 1923 Incident
Tony Salvetti of Mark was killed by falling rock at the Kincaid mine on November 17. His body was taken to Foon for burial and the funeral was held Friday in Granville cemetery. The deceased, about 25, left relatives in Mark and had a brother who died in 1913 by a live wire accident.

Death in Iowa Auto Crash Claimed Mrs Heilstedt
Mrs Julius Heilstedt of the Twin Cities died on the operating table in Marshalltown hospital after an automobile collision at State Center. The car driven by her brother in law Ed Greiner struck another vehicle driven by her brother Fred Rutter, both cars injuring all occupants. Faletti dies at 46 in Oglesby after pneumonia
Lawrence Faletti 46 formerly of Spring Valley died at his Oglesby home after a monthlong illness with pneumonia. Born in Italy he came to Spring Valley 24 years ago and moved to Oglesby four years later. He worked in the cement mill and is survived by a widow seven children and brothers Peter and Joseph Faletti of Dalzell. Funeral Friday at 2 PM from the Oglesby home with interment in Oakwood cemetery La Salle.

Peru Woman Struck by Auto En Route to Christmas Mass
