Seattle exposition details and forest clearing for grounds

The Seattle exposition features a Frenche Renaissance style with grand palaces on either side of the main court and a display of international machinery and agriculture. The grounds include a 260 acre fir forest largely removed, with remaining trees lit by electric lamps at night and numerous rest stations for up to 60,000 spectators. Water from a glacier lake is abundant and free. The Northwest financed the exposition with Seattle residents contributing.
