The body of Geo Fuhr, who died Thursday in a Minneapolis hospital, was brought to Spencer and buried beside his kin in Riverside. Born and raised in Clay county, he spent most of his life there before taking up a Dakota homestead. Health failures forced his move to Minneapolis, where he stayed until death. West building janitor hired. Union Hall game draws crowds
Ole Nelson began work as janitor in the West building with Geo Starr as assistant until December 20. At Union Hall Friday night two games featured Estherville and Spencer High teams and the town team. Spencer won the first, while Spencer Ineligibles beat the town team 51 to 12. The Spencer lineup included Munson Barnard, Bjornstad, Geo Beck, Earnest Parker, and Glen Youde. A manual training class may open if enough students enroll. Rollin Axdahl has grippe and will miss school until after holidays.
