Sesser Valier Awards Insurance Contract and Board Aims
The Sesser Valier Community Unit School District 196 Board awarded a 15571 contract for insurance to Reed Insurance Co of Benton. Other bids were 20366 from Country Mutual and 20903 from Crocker Insurance. The board set a public hearing on the 1982 tax levy and planned bids for interior walls in an open section. Johnston City theater project seeks memberships drive
The Johnston City Cultural Affairs Foundation formed to restore the Palace Theater will launch a door to door membership drive. Memberships cost 5 dollars for individuals 10 dollars for families and 15 dollars for businesses per the foundation member Doris Dobbins. The group also plans a cake walk during the Fall Festival on September 24 25 and 26.
