Chester Grade School Walk-A-Thon fundraiser slated
Chester Grade School PTS will host a walk-a-thon at the Chester High School track on September 21 to raise funds for CGS programming. Students must raise at least 20 dollars to participate with goals of 60 dollars, prizes and drawings offered for various pledge levels and class competitions. For details call 618-826-2354.

Nursing assistant classes offered by Shawnee Community College
SCC will offer three nursing assistant classes this fall with tuition waived for residents of the SCC district. Classes start today at the Ullin main campus and on Sept 20 at Metropolis Regional Training Center and Oct 12 at Anna Extension Center. An orientation precedes each class.
