Chirac Announces France to Join Afghanistan Offensive
President Jacques Chirac pledged that French troops will participate in the U S led offensive against Afghanistan. He said our forces will participate and noted new U S requests for French involvement as operations will unfold over a long period. France may act in days and will also assist at sea and in airspace.
