Youth rally planned Monday at Ferne Clyffe park
A youth rally sponsored by the Williamson County Baptist Association will begin at 3 p.m. Monday at Ferne Clyffe State Park in Goreville. The Sunshine Circle of Niles Michigan will be featured at the rally and will also appear at 7 30 p m Sunday through Tuesday at Energy First Baptist Church.

Rev Warner named director of criminal justice project
The Rev William R Warner pastor of the Little Egypt United Methodist Church has been named director of the Southern District of Communities Upholding Persons part of the United Methodist Church Ministry of Criminal Justice in Illinois. He will organize volunteers in Southern Illinois counties to assist offenders returning to the community with housing job placement and adjusting to life after prison. He has held multiple Methodist posts in Carbondale Cairo Karnak and Johnston City and serves in various church and community roles. Summers worship at St Peters UCC Murphysboro begins Sundays at 9 am with church school for preschool to grade 6.
