Illinois man makes biodiesel at home in garage

Dayton Keyes, a Capitol police investigator from Illinois, builds a biodiesel refinery in a 4 by 12 foot garage space using a 50 gallon water heater to convert used cooking oil into fuel for a 2002 Golf. He reports about 28 to 30 gallons produced at roughly 70 cents per gallon, costing about 15 dollars weekly for his 600 mile per week driving.
