Drop in Marion reservoir slows water decline
Marion city water supply fell about two feet over three dry months as engineers note a slower drop in the reservoir. Glenn Clarida cites readings of 7.34 feet below spillway and says prior estimates for April and late May were off though rainfall was negligible. The lake remains well below pre-dam levels, but officials expect no conservation measures as Crab Orchard Lake supplementation continues.

Additional items include staff rehires and a dispute over a student’s PE grade affecting class rank.
