Ponson Dominates Cardinals In Orioles 10-2 Spring Win
Sidney Ponson worked five solid innings in his final tuneup before opening day as Baltimore defeated St. Louis 10-2 in Florida. He allowed one run on seven hits and a walk, improving spring stats to 2-1 with a 4.85 ERA. Jim Edmonds drove in a first-inning run for the Cardinals. the Orioles answered with five in the bottom. Javy Lopez drove in two in the second as Baltimore pulled away. Rob Ramsay tossed a scoreless ninth in his third spring appearance after brain cancer surgery.
