Navy F-18 crashes at Raleigh Durham airport during takeoff
An Navy F-18 fighter jet on a training flight crashed and burned on the Raleigh Durham airport runway in Morrisville North Carolina. The pilot ejected and was being taken to a hospital. Witnesses reported the pilot walking after ejecting before ambulances arrived. The airport closed nearby airspace but later began allowing arrivals and departures. No cause was released.
