Unity Point approves reading series and summer program
The Unity Point school board approved a K 5 reading series titled Four Blocks from McGraw Hill at 58830.56 with 12076.80 funded by free textbooks and 46753.76 by the district. a June summer enrichment program was approved and a Title I grant increase to 218000 will aid the budget. Reductions in force affect 21 teacher aides, two part time non tenured teachers, and one first year non tenured teacher with possible rehiring if funds allow.
