Dakin Williams plans a cross bearing anti abortion message during a July street tour to gather petition signatures for an Independent American Party bid. He will start July 1 in Shawneetown, end in Chicago, with stops in Harrisburg Paducah Carbondale Belleville Collinsville Springfield Decatur and Peoria. The 57 year old Collinsville lawyer and Tennessee Williams brother aims to mobilize press and TV coverage at the Illinois Capitol July 5 as he seeks 25 000 signatures to appear on the ballot.
