Sewer line repair hits 500 block Main Street
Carbondale sanitation workers Murray and Rowe repair a 15 inch sewer line about 20 feet deep in the 500 block of Fast Main Street. Public works director Schwegman says a broken tile likely blocks the line serving Tatum Heights and South Wall Street residents. Dry weather needed for the fix, with completion expected Thursday. Old pole and junk found as improper backfill by former contractors.
