Illinois Gaming Board administrator Philip C. Parenti resigned to become a vice president at Harrah's Entertainment Inc. He says the move complies with the board's code of conduct which bars involvement with riverboat licensees for a year after leaving. Harrah's operates riverboat casinos in Metropolis and Joliet. Parenti will not engage with Illinois properties or expansion efforts during the term. The board's chairman Elzie Higginbottom commented on the transition.
