World's smallest Iowa church caretaker preserves a family legacy
Vera Schneberger, 87, tends St. Anthony of Padua Chapel in Festina, the "world's smallest church," with yard work, crochet altar linens, and relics of a storied past. Her great-great-grandmother promised a chapel if a son survived war, and history links to the Hubers and early Mission site in northeast Iowa.
