Biker Killed in Franklin County Crash
A 35 year old rider, Glenn A Browder of Thompsonville, died after a trash truck pulled from Logan Road into his path at Illinois 149 and Logan Road at about 2 p.m. The truck was driven by Kenneth Rumsey, 59, of Galatia.

Davis Mallory pleads guilty to sex abuse and is jailed on probation violation
Davis N Skip Mallory 62 of Johnston City pleaded guilty in December to dual counts of sexual abuse of a 16 year old girl in 2005 and received 48 months probation. A Williamson County judge ordered him back into jail after finding he violated probation by being near Johnston City ball fields. Witnesses including Little League coaches and a fire department employee testified to Mallory at the ballpark on May 17 and 27 and at the campground. He was returned to Williamson County Jail awaiting sentencing after posting a 25000 bond June 1.
