Mississippi River Festival Opens at SIU Edwardsville Campus
SIU Edwardsville hosts the Mississippi River Festival this summer featuring big league pop rock and folk acts alongside the St. Louis Symphony. The outdoor amphitheater on 18 acres seats fans in tents or open rows with a schedule of renowned artists including Buffy Sainte Marie, Joan Baez, Van Cliburn, Itzhak Perlman, and The Band. Tickets range from 1 to 5.50 with various lawn and box options. some events run nightly through July 27 with additional classical and ballet offerings.
