Electric Cars Replace Mules at Sahara No 5 Mine
In Sahara No 5 mine three miles from the coal face workers rely on electric road motors on narrow gauge tracks. Rock dust coats the supports as a safety measure and twenty five coal cars are unloaded at the loading dock. Two mules still haul tools while machines replace timbering and old props with ceiling drilling and roof supports.
