Trustees approve raises and fee increases at SIUC

The SIU board approved all scheduled salary hikes including a retroactive raise to Carmen Suarez who becomes coordinator for the office of diversity and equity with a new salary of 80,004. Student trustees Rick Mauer and Ed Ford voted no on the pay raises. Several student fee hikes were approved for fall 2005 including a $20 increase for athletics and $12 increases for student medical benefits and the Student Union fee.
