Meth Bust in Sesser Leads to 11 Federal Indictments

Federal grand jury indicts 11 suspects in Franklin County on conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine offenses spanning 2000 to 2004. Hoisted charges include maintaining residences for drug manufacturing, illegal precursor possession, and firearms possession for a felon. Two suspects remained at large. several appeared for advisement in Benton with bond decisions set for June 16.

Reagan Page Honor: Thompsonville Girl Meets President

Christina Tina Fowler, twelve, with leukemia, wrote to President Reagan asking for a meet. Reagan granted the wish. Christina and family traveled to Washington on the Children’s program, meeting Reagan January 17, 1986, in the White House. She hugged him, toured the residence, and appeared on news programs. Christina died April 30, 1986. Reagan later sent condolences.
