Illinois lawmakers split on NASA funding vote in House
In Washington the House passed a 1977 NASA appropriation of 3.7 billion with 255 yes and 20 no. Three of the no votes were Republicans including Rep. Paul Simon who opposed the measure. Crane was among 13 no votes. Illinois voters largely supported the bill with three absentees.
