Cobden Board Sets Village Permit Rates and Road Changes
The Cobden Village Board adopted new plumbing electrical and housing codes with permit minimums of 1.50 for sewer and plumbing, 1 for electrical, and 1 for building plus 0.1 percent of construction cost above 1,500. They also planned two road signs and a center yellow line near the Presbyterian Church. President Wilkins urged a protest against the state's new judicial system shifting cases to the county seat in Jonesboro.
