Drowning at Devil's Backbone Park On Mississippi River
A multi agency recovery team led by Jackson County Sheriff Robert Burns found Glen David Frazer 29 of Percy after he was swept away in the Mississippi River at Devil's Backbone State Park. Frazer and a friend stormed out on a sand bar. the friend survived but Frazer disappeared in strong currents. Park Manager Mike Ellet described the emotional scene as four children watched their father die. The body was recovered around 7 p.m. with Detective Max Snyder noting ongoing recovery efforts and training.
