Man Holds Detective Hostage in NYC Station Standoff
A man brought to an Upper East Side police station for questioning held a detective at gunpoint for over three hours before surrendering. Adrian Leibovici, wanted on a harassment charge, struck the detective with a .38 pistol and was taken into custody after negotiators intervened. The detective was not seriously harmed.
