Pinckneyville Tops Cairo In Double OT For Holiday Title
Pinckneyville coaches and players celebrated a 92 91 double overtime win over Cairo to capture the 16th annual El Dorado Holiday Tournament title. Led by Wade Graskewicz 25 points and Kerry Graskewicz 23, the Panthers overcame a 23 13 Cairo start, preserved a late game surge, and avenged last year’s overtime loss. Cairo’s Orlandis Hill poured 33 points, while the Pilots held a 46 28 rebounding edge. The victory gives Pinckneyville a 10 0 mark as coach Dick Corn reaches 101 53 in six seasons. The teams meet again in upcoming rib and potential sectional play.
