Angel of Hope statue honors dead teens in Altamont park
In Altamont New York a four foot bronze angel statue christened the Angel of Hope was dedicated in a village park for Melissa Herzog and Korey Efaw who died in a car crash. Flowers and prayers mark the site as community members remember the teenagers. The angel concept stems from Richard Paul Evans The Christmas Box about a grieving woman and a father learning to cherish time with children.
