In Vergennes, Chad Absher family man drove a Dodge van two miles north of De Soto on U S 51 when a sinkhole appeared. His vehicle left the road, struck a hole and another car, injuring Absher his wife and their 2 year old. No other injuries reported. The hole was 4 to 5 feet wide and 7 to 8 feet deep.
