Hotel fire in Seoul kills 75 and leaves many missing
A 12 hour Christmas Day blaze gutted the two story Tacyonkak Hotel on a busy Seoul street. At least 75 dead and dozens unaccounted for, with 102 hospitalized across five facilities. Among guests were nine Americans. authorities estimate up to 300 others inside when fire began after 10 am. Minister Sydney Yu of the Nationalist Chinese Embassy was rescued from an 11th floor room in serious condition but alive.
