Ban on all non emergency cellphone use urged by NTSB
A National Transportation Safety Board report cites an August 2010 Interstate 44 pileup in Gray Summit Missouri that killed two and injured 35 as caused by texting distraction. It recommends banning all non emergency cellphone use. Illinois already restricts texting and talking in school or construction zones.

Man charged with elder abuse after neglect accusation
McLeansboro resident Neil D. Colclasure, 64, is charged with two counts of elder abuse and neglect and one count of aggravated battery of a victim over 60, accused of isolating his wife and withholding medicine and water, according to Hamilton County State's Attorney Justin Hood.
