Secretary of State Dulles said Tito’s visit could be useful and noted a possible White House invitation under consideration. He stressed no decision yet and said high level talks with Tito might aid satellite issues while European force reductions are not planned. Cooperatives Head Praises Benson's Job

Marvin J. Briggs president of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives said Agriculture Secretary Benson is doing an excellent job and "the most courageous man in the Eisenhower administration." He spoke at a meeting in Omaha and forecast 1957 would improve farmers' lot because the price level for operating materials will not rise.

Cloudy and cool conditions persist in Southern Illinois with patchy clearing. Tonight remains partly cloudy with little temperature change, Wednesday turns warmer with lows in the 20s and highs in the upper 30s, and Wednesday night dips into the mid 20s. The International Longshoremen's Association urged an end to the informal waterfront boycott on Iron Curtain diplomatic cargo. ILA president William V. St Louis University professor O S Makar, 47, a geodesy and photogrammetry expert, and his wife renounced American citizenship to live in the Soviet Union. They told Ny Dag in Stockholm of seeking Soviet citizenship and a university chair while praising Russia’s scientific environment. Makar’s contract was terminated last Aug 31 amid student complaints and teaching issues at the university.

Frank Hanagan 46 Benton lawyer was nominated by Democrats in Belleville to fill the First District seat on the Illinois Supreme Court. Japan was admitted to the United Nations by a unanimous General Assembly vote, becoming the 80th member. The S C recommendation and five-year Soviet vetoes ended after Japan signed a peace agreement with Russia last week.
