Frankfort approves bond sale for school addition
Frankfort Community School Board approved a $635000 general obligation bond purchase by Marcus Kindred and Co to fund a Dening Elementary addition with 14 classrooms a kitchen and gymnasium. Bids for equipment are due Dec. 20 and teacher pay raises are effective Nov. 15 raising bachelor and master level salaries.

Johnson will not seek Perry County state attorney post
State's Attorney Don Johnson a Republican announced on Monday he will not run again, citing workload doubling in three years and urging higher salary to avoid private practice.
