Marionopoly boosts youth program through local board game
Marion residents try a new board game called Marionopoly. Players move around a Marion themed board buying local businesses and collecting customers to raise rent. Proceeds fund MPY after school programs mentoring 25 junior high students at MPY sites. Josh Leeper, 14, says the program provides supervision and reduces street roaming. MPY offers after school Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the Marion Youth Center and on Tuesdays at Marion Junior High School. For information, contact MPY at 992-6791.
