New Web site links Southern Illinois services and agencies
AccessSI, a new regional Web site for Southern Illinois, consolidates agency, health and community resources across 16 to 17 southern counties. Launched at the Man-Tra-Con building in Marion, the site www.accessSI.org offers county pages with categories like civic, cultural, education and health and lists participating agencies. Verizon Foundation donated $20,000 to support AccessSI, and organizers urge unregistered agencies to sign up, noting it takes about 10 minutes to complete.
