Six Southern Illinois residents pleaded guilty in Benton federal court to conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. SIU Carbondale police probe strong-arm battery attack on campus
SIU Carbondale campus police are investigating an attempted strong-arm robbery and aggravated battery near the Student Recreation Center on campus. Three black male suspects battered two victims around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday on the pedestrian bridge, searched pockets, but left with nothing. No injuries were reported and suspects fled toward Brush Towers. descriptions include a man in a black jacket with faded hair, a dreadlocked man in a gray hoodie, and a taller man in a black hoodie.
