Arson Trial Delayed Amid Gag Order Fight in Olney
Richland County Circuit Judge reschedules the arson case of Leonard Ezell after a continuance grant. Ezell 28 faces single counts of attempted murder and aggravated arson for the Aug 4 blast at Carol Brown’s Olney residence, injuring Brown. His bond stands at 50000, with wife Mary and Daniel Dvorak also charged. Attorneys seek to lift limits on local pretrial coverage and to assess Ezell’s fitness for trial. The judge indicated rulings on the gag order may come after trial starts.
