Lights Fantastic Parade Comes to Carbondale Saturday
The 12th annual Lights Fantastic Parade will light up downtown Carbondale on Saturday December 7 at 6 30 p.m. with 65 to 70 units including new entries and 10 000 lights from the Illinois Department of Transportation City of Carbondale Western Heights Christian Church and University Mall. Grand Avenue closes at 3 p.m. for lineup and parade routes run from Illinois Avenue to Main Street ending near Town Square with free shuttles from University Mall and Mardale Shopping Center. Parking is tight and detours are posted as volunteers thank supporters and participants.
