Nicholas Padula, inmate at Texarkana FCI, has spent five years compiling a reference book on dangerous drugs. The color coded manuscript lists more than 3000 substances, with overdose symptoms and antidotes designed for physicians and emergency personnel. Padula hopes the publication aids those handling street drugs, including marijuana and LSD, and cross references antidotes for quick access. He began after a friend died of heroin overdose and has contacted 400 pharmaceutical companies for data. He is serving a five year sentence for illegal possession of U.S. mark.
