Herrin Tigers rely on Walker as backfield centerpiece this season
Herrin senior tailback Kyle Walker, a 5-9, 175-pound playmaker who scored 114 points last season, aims to lead the Tigers with speed and power. Coach John Helmick expects big plays and notes Walker’s 957 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, plus defensive impact and kickoff returns, as Herrin dreams of a first state title.
