Somali rapper K'naan visits famine-struck homeland
Somali born rapper K'naan visited Mogadishu to see the famine crisis and donate what he can. He toured Banadir Hospital and met malnourished children while appealing for aid from the international community. The UN says over 3.2 million Somalis need food aid and tens of thousands have died in the region.

Lifeguard fired over swimwear test sparks discrimination claim
Roy Lester, a 61 year old New York man and longtime lifeguard, says he lost his job in 2007 for refusing skimpy trunks for the annual swim test and has pursued a legal fight since 2009. An appeals court reinstated his age related discrimination claim against the state Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation, while officials declined comment.
