Born in Arkansas he moved to Coquille in 1912, later ranched in Norway as part owner of Pinkston and Young. Funeral Tuesday at Ellingsen chapel Coquille with burial in Masonic cemetery officiated by Rev Milton Hill and Rev E B Finley.

One of Myrtle Point's social events this winter was a dancing party in Woodman Hall last Tuesday evening. Hosts included Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Lundy, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Dement, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Dement, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Harlocker. The Butterfly Garden Orchestra from Marshfield provided music.
