Round Up Set for Coos County July Fourth Festivities
Community celebrates soldiers sailors and marines with Make Her Buck the motto as Coos County gears up for a three day Round-Up at the Fair Grounds July 4 to 6. Program features parades races bucking contests trick roping and rodeo attractions with daily changes and arrivals of horses from Philomath.

A note of thanks for kindness during bereavement from Mrs J H Barton is published. Mrs H McDonald of Broadbent is ill but improving. New subscribers offered a free book. Lou Thomas of Marshfield visited Powers, with Mrs Thomas and baby. Clarence Barklow, post appendectomy, was in critical condition and near 30th birthday, leaving a wife and three children. Funeral set for Thursday at 1 30 from the Church of the Brethren.
