Coos County Welcomes Soldier Boys for Big Round-Up

Promoters urge residents to attend a three day Coos County Round-Up in Myrtle Point July 4 5 and 6 featuring Broncho Bob and a famed world champion lady rider. The event promises real life rodeo feats and a large western crowd with camping near town and transport access via the Marshfield Coquille road.

Local Notes and Obituary of Harold Tyrrell

Saturday night crowds heard updates from Myrtle Point and Powers residents. Harold Tyrrell, age 22, of Madera California, died in action August 3 1918 after serving in the 4th Division. He trained at Camp Kearny and Camp Merritt before overseas service. He leaves his father Ardys sister and Isaiah Tyrrell along with many friends.
